Hyderabad: Revanth arrested at RGIA on arrival from Delhi
Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP and TPCC working president, A. Revanth Reddy was arrested by Narsingi police on Thursday and sent to judicial custody for 14 days for allegedly using the services of drone operator to record and capture the images of a farmhouse belonging to KTR in Miyakhangadda in Kokapet.
According to city police, the MP after arriving from Delhi, walked into the police station at around 2:45 PM and questioned the cops as to why was his name included in the charge sheet in crime no. 224/2020 Under section 188, 287, 109, 120 (B) of IPC and section 11(a) r/w 5A of the Aircraft Act related to the drone videos.
After having a discussion with the cops and about knowing his involvement and evidence available with the police, the MP voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the police officials.
A day ago, the Narsingi police arrested six persons for allegedly video recording 1600 hours via drone and for violating the privacy of public servant and also for violating the privacy of individuals with an intention to cause them harm.
The arrested ones were identified as, Praveen Paul Reddy, Vijay Simha Reddy, Jaipal Reddy, Rajesh, Shiva and Om Prakash Reddy. According to city police, all the accused recorded the video using drone, on the instructions of one A. Krishna Reddy (brother of A Revanth Reddy, Malkajgiri MP ) .
A. Krishna Reddy, instructed to one of his aide Vijaya Paul Reddy to invite his brother Praveen Paul Reddy to the MP's office. The accused Praveen Paul Reddy, then reached the MP's office in Jubilee Hills with one Vijay Simha Reddy.
Upon reaching the venue, Krishna Reddy instructed the duo to meet one Jaipal Reddy in Kokapet and shoot and capture the images of the respective areas in Miyakhangadda and its surroundings.
