Hyderabad: Revanth Reddy booked for obstructing police from discharging duties
The Jubilee Hills police on Wednesday registered cases against Congress working president and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy for obstructing the police from discharging their lawful duties.
He was booked under section 351 (assault), 353 (criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) of IPC.
Based on the complaint lodged by the Jubilee Hills SI Naveen Reddy, the police registered cases against Revanth Reddy and three others.
It is known that Revanth Reddy was taken into custody after he tried to lay siege to Pragati Bhavan on Monday protesting against the government over TSRTC strike. Reddy who was earlier put under house arrest has escaped from the police on a bike.
