Hyderabad: Revanth sees conspiracy to remove Eatala from cabinet
Hyderabad: Congress MP from Malkajgiri A Revanth Reddy on Saturday alleged that the ruling party is conspiring to remove Health Minister Eetala Rajender from his post citing intensification of coronavirus in the State.
Addressing one-day fast taken up by journalists, he said that ruling party leaders have told him that the conspiracy is hatched in the ruling party to remove Rajendar from cabinet. He alleged that the government deliberately allowing the number of cases to go up so that Rajendar could be removed from his post.
He said that the journalists have been forced to come into the streets as their well being was neglected by the government. He said that the government got about Rs 15,000 crores revenue in the past three months.
About Rs 3,000 crores have been given in the form of donations. Government got revenue with sale of liquor and it has saved money by paying half salaries to the employees.
However, it did not spend the amounts for fighting coronavirus. Government claims that it has been spending Rs 3.5 lakh on each corona patient which was not true.
He wanted to know how much it has spent on journalist Manoj who died due to corona. He said that negligence of government could be seen as it has conducted less than 50,000 tests. Revanth alleged that the government is treating common people and powerful people differently. It has admitted MLA M Yadagiri Reddy who was infected with corona in a private hospital. The doctors of Gandhi Hospital have been demanding to know whether they were incompetent in treating the corona patients.
