Hyderabad schools excel in CBSE 12th results

Hyderabad: Students from noted private schools and Army Public Schools bagged top honours in the CBSE Class 12 results that were declared on Thursday. Also, a good number of schools achieved 100 per cent results.

Ayitri Mukherjee from P Obul Reddy Public School was the state topper with 489 marks out of 500. The second place went to Akhila Ajay Kumar from Delhi Public School.

The third and fourth spots were bagged by two students from Army Public School, Bollarum, Secunderabad.

Samiksha Yadav with an aggregate of 488 marks was in third position while her classmate Jasnoor Kaur with 487 marks stood fourth. Both are from the Humanities group.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results for all regions on Thursday.

The overall pass percentage this year stood at 83.4% A total of 12, 87, 359 had appeared for the Class 12 exams.

Army Public School, Bolarum, achieved 100 per cent results with 99 per cent of the students passing with distinction and 53 students scoring above 90 per cent.

Six students obtained a 100 per cent in Informatics Practices subject and two in Political Science subject.

The students who excelled in the examination are Sameeksha Yadav (Humanities) 97.6 per cent, Jasnoor Kaur (Humanities) 97.4 per cent, Vaishnavi (Humanities) 96.8 per cent, Mahek Thapa (Commerce) 95.8 per cent, Drishti Dhaka (Commerce) 95.8 per cent and Hriday Anand (Science) 94.6 per cent Army Public School, Golconda, also achieved 100 per cent results in class XII exams.

Pavithra Reddy of Humanities emerged as the school topper with a score of 95.8 per cent.

Nishu Agarwal of Humanities scored 95.6 per cent and R Rachna 95.4 per cent in Science. Rachna achieved 100 per cent in Physical Education. 29 per cent of students scored above 90 per cent marks.

The Chairman, Management Committee Brigadier R R Kumar commended the school fraternity for the success.

The students of Jubilee Hills Public School scaled yet another height by securing100 per cent results in class XII.

Madiha Minhaj stood as the school topper in Commerce stream with 95 per cent.

The Chairman A Murali Mukund, Principal M.Varalakshmi and Academic Director, G Sree Devi congratulated the students for their performance.

Students from Glendale Academy also excelled with 90 per cent of students getting distinction and 100 per cent securing the First Class. Srishthi Agarwal scored a perfect 100 in Political Science.

At Glendale Academy, students have the unique opportunity of exploring their aptitude in a variety of subjects, Director Minu Khan said.
