Hyderabad slashes 100-year old record rain record for September
Hyderabad: The city has received tremendous rainfall on Tuesday slashing 100-year old rain record for September, said Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the minister extended thanks to GHMC, city traffic police for their hardworking and dedication.

Around 7-13 cm of rainfall has been recorded across the city on Tuesday night. Thirmulgherry has received the highest of 12.93 cm followed by Malkajgiri 12.83, Uppal at 12.55, Marredpally at 12.03, Musheerabad at 11.68, Ram Nagar at 11, Kapra at 10.65 and Secunderabad at 10.60.
As many as 42 areas were flooded with rainwater. However, the timely response from GHMC and the rescue teams minimised inconvenience to the public.
