Hyderabad: Steel bridge to be thrown open today
Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will inaugurate steel bridge at Panjagutta on Friday, said Mayor Bonthu Rammohan in a release on Thursday.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and other people's representatives will grace the occasion. It may be recalled that the Rs 5.95 crore project under Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) scheme was commenced on February 29. Regularly monitored by ministers K T Rama Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mayor Rammohan, the GHMC officials put the works on fast-track and were able to complete them along with an approach road by May 31.
The Mayor said that with the completion of steel bridge, there would be free flow of traffic from TV9 Junction to NFCL Junction. Commuters can have a sigh of relief.
The length of the two-lane bridge is 100 metres. The approach road length is 57 metres and it includes 22 metres towards KBR Park and 35 metres towards NFCL. The width of the bridge is 9.6mts which includes 1mt width footpath. Sophisticated technology has been used in the construction of the bridge.
