Hyderabad: Street Cause CBIT holds star-studded Echoz

Hyderabad: Street Cause CBIT, a student run and self-funded NGO with over 100 volunteers, has organised a concert named 'Echoz.' The star-studded concert was held at Ramya Grounds, KPHB. Nearly 1000 people showed up to watch them perform. Hit song 'Ramulo Ramula' singers Anurag Kulkarni and Mangli, Hemachandra and his brand new band, and other famous bands like Jammers, Madira and Chowraasta entertained the crowd with their top-notch performances.

The funds collected from this annual fund raiser will be utilised to improve the conditions of the downtrodden. Street Cause is registered under Telangana government and has been started to create a platform for youngsters who are intent on doing their bit towards betterment of society.

The NGO has also provided an opportunity for the winners of their previous fund raiser, Voice of Hyderabad- Season 3, to showcase their talent at this concert. The crowd was astonished to see kids perform well as they tapped their feet and sang along. Music was also accompanied by delicious food stalls, portrait drawing and body painting. All the arrangements from passes to stage and from food stalls to bouncers were a 60 days work and were handled by the team professionally.

The intention behind this concert is to raise enough revenue to adopt a village in Adilabad district. As a part of Impact Week, a village named Ambugove was adopted last year and was provided with water filtration tank which reduced 70% of diseases in the area. Medical camp, and benches donation in primary school also played a key role in making the Impact week a huge success. Tailoring machines were set up in Sailingi and women were trained to be tailors; street cause CBIT has given them tremendous support and an opportunity of self employment.

The event was sponsored by AP 24x7, 92.7 big FM, Liant, SriniInfotech Pvt ltd, Ishkar and Btech students ikkada. Street cause believes that their work teaches managing between responsibilities and studies, entrepreneurship, caring and mostly, being thankful for what you have. The NGO hopes to get continuous support to take their legacy forward and keep giving back to the society.
