Hyderabad: Stringent measures in place against Covid 19

Hyderabad: The GHMC staff and officials of Entomology and EVDM divisions have been taking stringent measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, as per the State government's directions. The staffers have been collecting information on whether the Indians returning from abroad have been self-quarantined or not.

The entomology division has 125 spraying units across 33 GHMC circles. The staff, a GHMC press release stated, was ready to take up special sanitation drive wherever it was needed in 150 wards across the corporation limits. Every unit has 18 staffers. Besides, the EVDM wings has 300 trained staffers, who are involved in spraying of insecticides.

The GHMC staff and officials were inspecting the houses of the Indians who had returned from foreign countries, their house surroundings, as also those areas which have been identified as Corona positive. They were spraying insecticide (sodium hypo chloride) in these areas, besides those where the government has quarantined.
