Hyderabad: Structures of petty traders pulled down

 Traders complained civic body did not give any prior intimation of demolitions

Serilingampally: The GHMC officials on Tuesday pulled down road-side structures of petty traders adjacent to Rajiv Gruha Kalpa in Papireddy Colony. The traders claimed that the civic body officials did not give any intimation to take up demolition.

State BJP Executive committee member Jnanendra Prasad upon receiving the information, visited the spot and interacted with the traders. Later, he held discussions with GHMC officials and said the civic body should have given notice before getting them vacated. The BJP leader assured to provide an alternative site to the traders, after discussing the issue with the GHMC zonal commissioner Ravikiran.

Among those who accompanied Prasad were Serilingampally division party president Raju Shetty, leaders Shivakumar, general secretary Reddy Prasad, Prashant Chary, Balu, Babu, Sailakshmi.
