Hyderabad students shine in JEE advanced exam

Hyderabad: Shabnam Sahay of Madhapur topped among the females with the Common Rank List (CRL) 10 in the JEE (Advanced) 2019 resultsannounced by the IIT Roorkee on Friday. She obtained 308 marks out of 372 marks.

Gupta Kartikey Chandresh of Ballarpur is the top ranker in the CRL in JEE (Advanced) 2019 obtaining 346 marks out of 372 marks.

The IIT, Roorkee on Friday said 38,705 candidates are qualified in the JEE(Advanced) 2019 out of 1,61,319 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2.

It said that a total of 33,349 boys and 5,356 girls are qualified in the examination. Similarly, under the category-wise qualified candidtes, 15,566 in general and 3,636 candidates in general-economically weaker sections are qualified.

Under the OBC-NCL category- 7,651, SC category-8,758, and under ST category-30,94 candidates are qualified.

Gillella Akash Reddy with CRL-4 is the topper in IIT, Hyderabad zone.In the category-wise rankers D Chandrasekhara SS Hethahavya of Madhapur is the topper under the general-economically weaker sections category.

G Akash Reddy (rank-4) and Surapaneni Sai Vigna (rank-44) are the male and female toppers in the Hyderabad Zone.

The top five rankers in the Hyderabad Zone are: Gillella Akash Reddy (rank-4), Battepati Karthikeya (rank-5), Thivesh Chandra M (rank-8), Amit Rajaraman (rank-12), and Gumparthi Venkata Krishna Surya Likhith (rank-13).
