Hyderabad: Students stage protest over poor amenities at polytechnic

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Ramanthapur Polytechnic College on Wednesday when police tried to take the students into their custody who were staging protest. Hundreds of students staged protest alleging that basic amenities including toilets were not being provided at the college. Even after several complaints and protests by the students, the officials failed to address the grievances and provide the facilities to them. Angered students chanted slogans against the officials for their irresponsibility.

When police tried to obstruct the students and take them into custody tension prevailed on the college premises. Later by deploying a large number of police personnel they brought the situation under control.
