Hyderabad: Telugu film director, producer booked for putting up obscene posters
A case was registered against a Telugu film director and producer for putting up obscene posters in Ameerpet. Locals complained to the police on the posters following which the police registered a case against director Narsimha Nandi and producer Srinivas Rao.
Narsimha Nandi and Srinivas Rao put up the posters at Ameerpet for promoting their flick 'Degree College'. The police launched an investigation and no arrests have been made yet.
Earlier this week, Balala Hakkula Sangam president Achyuta Rao demanded the removal of obscene posts in Ameerpet. He alleged that the posters will show adverse effects on the minds of the students and demanded punishment to those who displayed the posters.
The film that stars Varun, Sri Divya, Duvvasi Mohan and others in key roles has received 'A' certificate from the censor board.
