Weather report: Light to moderate thunderstorms forecast in Hyderabad on Dec 29, 30

Hyderabad: In a warning to Telangana, the Met department has said that thunderstorms with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana from March 18 to 20 on account of the persisting cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh and its neighborhood and now seen at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.

The forecast said dry weather is very likely to prevail over Telangana on March 17, adding that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places from March 18 to 20. No large change during the period March 21-23 is the weather outlook.

Meanwhile, rain occurred at isolated places in the State covering 25 per cent of the places during the last 24 hours, ending at 8.30 am on Monday. The department bulletin said the highest day temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bhadrachalam. The highest night temperature of 19.2 degrees Celsius was registered in Hakimpet. Both the day and night temperatures registered an appreciable rise ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of the State.

The other day temperatures recorded in the State were: Mahbubnagar (37), Nizamabad (35.4), Khammam (35), Nalgonda (34.5), Ramagundam (34.4), Adilabad (33.8), Hanamkonda (33), Hyderabad (33.1), Medak (32.8), Hakimpet (32.6) and Dundigal (31.9).

The bulletin listed the other night temperatures as: Medak (19.6), Dundigal (19.9), Adilabad (20.7), Hanamkonda (21), Hyderabad (21.1), Nalgonda (21.2), Mahbubnagar (22.5), Ramagundam (22.7), Bhadrachalam (23.5), Nizamabad (23) and Khammam (25).
