Abids: Left wing trade union organisations such as AITUC, CITU, TNTUC on Monday staged a dharna at the collectorate here, opposing the Central budget and proposed privatisation of public sector undertakings.

Addressing the protestors, leaders of trade unions stated that the Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after the NDA came back to power in 2019, had presented a Rs 32 lakh crore budget, but totally ignored the agriculture and industry sectors.

The leaders wanted the government to re-consider the proposals. They included TU representatives Narsimha, V S Bose, K Eshwar Rao, Saibaba.
