Hyderabad: Traffic diversion at Panjagutta

Hyderabad: The busy stretch of Panjagutta graveyard will not be accessible for heavy vehicles, such as lorries, trucks, buses, DCMs, water tankers, petrol tankers, cement readymix vehicles and the like for a period of three months, due to the upcoming road widening works.

Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Anjani Kumar issued an advisory, stating that the road widening works on Panjagutta graveyard road will begin from Wednesday (March 4) and will go on till June 3, 2020.

In order to regulate proper traffic, a steel bridge over the graveyard (beside Chutneys) will be constructed. The traffic for all heavy vehicles will be diverted from alternate routes: From Jubilee Hills check post – Venkatagiri – Krishna Nagar – Yousufguda check post – Yousufguda basti (Setwin office) – Maitrivanam – Ameerpet (OR) the second alternate route will be: From Jubilee Hills check post – Road no 45 Jubilee Hills – BVB Junction – Orissa Island – Road no 12 Banjara Hills – Road no 1 Banjara Hills.

The officer urged the motorists of bikes and light motor vehicles to take alternate routes to reach their destination in order to avoid traffic congestion.
