TRS leader Jeevan Reddy says People demand Biryani, Centre gives stale food
Hyderabad: Stating that Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind had no idea how turmeric is cultivated, TRS leader A Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday said that the BJP leader cannot bring Turmeric Board as promised during the elections and also said that the Centre has approved a regional office for spice board, which had no value.
Addressing a press conference here, Jeevan Reddy said that Arvind had promised to bring Turmeric Board within five days after getting elected. The demand for Turmeric Board has been pending since 1986 in Nizamabad. The Centre had already assured to set up an office in Nizamabad in 2018 but it did not. This is only a divisional office, which has no power. They will have to get permission from the Centre even if the power bill crosses Rs 16,000 because their budget is only for Rs 15,000 per month. The Centre which had to issue GO in 2018 is issuing now," said Jeevan Reddy.
He said that people are asking for Biryani but the Centre has given the stale food.
The TRS leader said that people of Nizamabad will come to know about the facts soon. He said that the party leader and former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha had tried her best to get Turmeric Board.
"Arvind should keep his promise as per the affidavit he released during the Lok Sabha elections and get the Turmeric Board. He should stay in Delhi and return only after getting the Turmeric Board," said Jeevan Reddy.
