Hyderabad: TRS MP candidates file nominations

Hyderabad: Two Rajya Sabha MP nominees from ruling TRS, KR Suresh Reddy and K Keshav Rao filed their nominations on the last day (Friday) here.

Accompanied by State ministers and Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar and others, the two leaders submitted two sets of nominations.

Scrutiny of the nominations will be held on March 16 and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is March 18. Officials said that the two MPs will be elected unopposed as no candidate filed nominations.

Soon after the completion of the scrutiny, the Election Commission will announce the two candidates elected MPs. After filing nominations, the two leaders called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the Assembly.

TRS leader K Kavitha also congratulated the two MP candidates.
