Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Monday alleged that Congress MP A Revanth Reddy was indulging in mud-slinging against TRS working president KT Rama Rao only to divert the attention of people from the allegations of his action in encroaching lands belonging to Dalits in Gopanpally.

Reacting to the allegations of Revanth Reddy that KT Rama Rao was illegally taking up construction on the lands coming under 111 GO, Government Whip B Suman said there were allegations of land grabbing at Gopanpally by Revanth Reddy brothers and to divert the attention of the people, he was making allegations against TRS leader KTR.

Alleging that Revanth Reddy was the brand ambassador for blackmailing, Suman said the lands which the Congress leader was referring to were mentioned by KTR in his election affidavit of 2014 and 2018.

Suman said the land was taken by KTR on lease and the 8.9 acre of land was registered in the name of KTR's wife. There is no relation to the land referred by Revanth Reddy and the land belonging to farmhouse.

The land referred to by Revanth Reddy was 8 kilometres away from the land belonging to KTR's family, said Suman. Party leaders MLC Shambhipur Raju, G Ramachandra Rao and others were also present.
