TSRTC bus catches fire in Hyderabad, no casualties

An electric bus of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) caught fire here at Secunderabad on Tuesday. However, no casualties have been reported as the passengers disembarked the bus at the charging station.
According to the police, the vehicle was completely gutted as the flames engulfed the bus before a fire engine rushed to the spot. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire.
After the bus went up in flames, the TSRTC officials reactly swiftly and removed another bus which was also on charging.
The staff also switched off the electricity supply to the charging point to prevent further damage.
