Hyderabad: The TSRTC workers JAC on Friday alleged that chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was demoralising the workers and provoking them.

In a press conference here, JAC convener E Ashwadhama Reddy alleged that the CM was not speaking as per his level and provoking the RTC workers.

The JAC leader said that the long distance buses were running in profits. If the private buses are earning profits, the government should run them in villages, he said adding their fight was not for elections but saving the corporation. The neighbouring chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was merging the corporation as promised and KCR also should implement his promise of treating RTC workers as government employees.

Co-convener K Raji Reddy said the chief minister was lying that the workers were getting salary of Rs 50,000 per month. Co-convener VS Rao said they were ready for discussion on the losses and dues payable by the government. Government is trying to create differences between the workers, he alleged. The Tamil Nadu government was providing thousands of crores to RTC in the form of equity. Why the Telangana government is not providing this, asked Rao.

JAC1 leader K Hanumanthu said that the chief minister cannot dismiss the workers.
