Hyderabad: TSRTC slaps charge sheet on Ashwathama Reddy
Hyderabad: RTC JAC leader E Ashwathama Reddy who had spearheaded the RTC employees strike last year, has been facing charges for being absent from work for several days.
The TSRTC management issued a charge sheet to the RTC JAC chairman and TMU leader E Ashwathama Reddy for being absent from the duties without getting the leaves sanctioned from the authorities and warned of further action for not responding to the charge sheet.
The RTC management has levelled charge that Ashwathama Reddy was absent from December 6, 2019 till date without sanction of leave from the competent authority.
His absence caused much inconvenience in arranging substitute and leading to dislocation of works at MGBS besides causing inconvenience to the travelling public, which constitutes misconduct in terms of TSRTC employees (Conduct)Reg 29 (XXVII) Regulations, 1963.
Ashwathama Reddy has been asked to give his explanation within seven days of receiving the charge sheet. If the TMU leader fails to respond to the charge sheet, the authorities would deem that there was no explanation to offer from him and further action would be initiated against Reddy based on the available evidences on records.
Earlier, the management had cancelled the leave application of Reddy on two occasions. He was also stripped off the privileges of the union leaders and was asked to attend duties immediately.
Ashwathama Reddy had applied for long leave from December 5 to May 5, 2020 but was cancelled by the authorities.
