Hyderabad: Two test positive for coronavirus in Patancheru

Hyderabad: Two people of the same family tested positive for coronavirus at a newly built residential colony at Indresham village of Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district on Saturday. The 40-year-old man and his eight-year-old son have been undergoing treatment and their condition is said to be stable.

After the man, his son and his wife showed the symptoms of coronavirus, the doctors at Patancheru area hospital shifted them to chest hospital in Erragadda on May 7. While the father and son tested positive for coronavirus, his wife tested negative and she was placed under quarantine at Patancheru area hospital.

Patancheru Nodal officer Dr Giri said that they were finding out the primary contacts of the family to check if they are suffering from COVID-19 symptoms. Meanwhile, the officials disinfected the area where the family members have moved during the past few days.

Sangareddy district which reported no positive cases since April 13, had recorded its first case after a month taking the total cases to 12. Meanwhile, the people who tested positive for the virus before April 23 have been discharged from the hospital.
