Hyderabad: WaLC volunteers to help in conservation of water in Madhapur

Madhapur: Local Corporator V Jagdishwar Goud on Wednesday thanked the Water Leadership and Conservation (WaLC) volunteers who agreed to serve the HMWSSB after administering a pledge to them at the Madhapur Hi-Tec City office. Top officials of the board, including CGM Anil Kumar, GM Rajasekhar, AGM Hemalata, film actor Rajita, DGMs Narayana, Nagapiya, Managers Prabhakar, Subramanyam and Praveen were present.

Addressing the volunteers, the corporator stated that the State government was committed to supplying drinking water to every house under the Mission Bhagiratha project. He appealed to the people not to waste water of the Krishna and Godavari rivers which was being brought by a 200-km pipleline.

Goud stated that 85 per cent pipeline works had been completed in Madhapur/Hafeezpet division. He urged the board officials to complete junction works of the pipeline in the Hafeezpet division areas of HUDA Colony, Madinaguda, Subashnagar and in Madhapur division areas of Adityanagar, Krishna Colony, Deepti Hills so as to avoid any shortage problems to people during the ensuing summer.

The TRS activists present on the occasion were Babamia, Shajid, Ameenuddin, Imam, Jafar, Khadeer, T Krishna, Krishna Naik.
