Hyderabad's Ikea store to reopen tomorrow
Swiss homeware furnishing brand Ikea will reopen its Hyderabad store on Monday by following strict measures to ensure the safety of visitors. In an announcement, Ikea said that they would also restrict the entry of customers to maintain social distancing. The store will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Swiss giant said that it will now offer all possible options in the way customers can shop–for those who want to come to the store, it is open; regular online services for those who want to shop from the comfort of their homes and Click & Collect service, for those who want to go completely contactless right from the beginning. "Some of the safety measures for customers include contact-less temperature checks, face masks and more," Ikea said.
It further continued that shopping bags and trolleys at the store are regularly sanitized as per COVID-19 norms. Contactless hand sanitiser machines, indicators on the floor for social distancing were arranged for customer's welfare. Queue management for line-ups, separation screens around sales point, cash registers and customer service points along with other safety checks are in place.
However, the restaurant at Ikea and children's play area, smaland will be opened later, it said.
"As we reopen our store, Health and Safety of co-workers and customers are our topmost priority. We have put strong safety measures throughout the store so that our customers and co-workers feel safe & confident coming back to the store," Ikea said.
