I feel proud of my dad: martyr Colonel Santosh Babu's daughter

"My dad Colonel Santosh Babu is a very daring and dashing person. I feel very proud of my dad who lost his life after a clash with Chinese troops," said Abhigna, daughter of martyr Colonel Santosh Babu. "Mom and I cried after learning his death but we controlled ourselves as dad used to say to be strong and not to fear of anything," she added.

Abhigna went on to say that she feels proud of her father after seeing his photos everywhere. "He used to be in touch through Whatsapp video calls every alternate day as he was residing in Ladakh. We used to wait for his calls when he was not unable to call us due to his tight schedule," she said.

She said that her father used to spend time with her whenever he came home. "We used to play carroms, chess and other games. My father used to encourage to play sports," she said adding that she always wanted to become a scientist.

Comforting his parents and in-laws who were seen crying by holding their grandchildren, Colonel's wife Santoshi said, "Nothing happened. Don't worry, I am here with two children."
