Identify black spots to reduce road accidents: ADGP

Mancherial: "Identify black spots (accident prone areas) and inform the R&B and municipal authorities to repair them to reduce accidents. Also, setup speed guns on highways to reduce the number of accidents," Additional Deputy General of Police Sandeep Sandilya directed the Superintendents of Police.

Sandilya inspected Ramagundam Police Commissionerate on Thursday and instructed the SPs of Peddapalli, Mancherial and Komaram Bheem-Asifabad districts on road safety and traffic management.

Addressing a meeting with the SPs, the ADGP informed about the steps taken for road safety and traffic issues in the two districts of Ramagundam Commissionerate. Stating that most of the accidents are taking place due to rash and drunk driving and minors driving vehicles, he instructed the police officials to setup straps to control the speed of the vehicles.

Ramagundam Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana, Peddapalli DCP Sudarshan, Mancherial DCP Rakshita K Murthy, Komaram Bheem district SP Mallareddy, Additional DCO Ashok Kumar, Ramagundam Traffic ACP YV Rao and others were present.
