IG Stephen Raveendra reportedly to be the new Intelligence Chief of Andhra Pradesh?

M Stephen Raveendra , who is presently working as an IG in Telangana Police, is reportedly to be the new Intelligence Chief of Andhra Pradesh. According to Telangana Police sources, all official moves were made on behalf of the newly elected YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh to relieve him from Telangana Police service and transfer him to Andhra Pradesh police department. As per the reports, the official process of his appointment as new Intelligence Chief of AP will complete within 15 days of time. However the reports about his appointment as AP's Intelligence Chief yet to confirm officially.

Stephen Raveendra worked for many years in Rayalaseema and served as Chief Security Officer to former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. He also worked as Greyhounds chief and played a key role in suppression of the Maoist activities in the state. Since the political intelligence turned crucial in today's political scenario, the news reports on his appointment as new Intelligence Chief of AP, a debate among the political parties raised. IG Stephen Raveendra is presently working as a chief of SIT which is probing the data theft case of IT Grids Company.
