Illegal occupants of 2 BHK houses evicted

Ameepur: Ameenpur Municipal Commissioner Vemana Reddy, Revenue department officials and GHMC officers, said that the government would allot 2 BHK houses in Narregudem only to eligible persons, others should not enter the houses.

The Ameenpur Revenue staff and GHMC officials, along with police, reached the 2 BHK houses in the early hours and evicted those living there illegally. The officials maintained that the residents had been disregarding the department's warning during the last two months.

Later, the Revenue officials warned that anyone staying without authorisation in 2 BHKs or make attempt to occupy them would be evicted. They stated that the real beneficiaries would be identified and allotted houses by the District Collector, while seeking public cooperation. Among the officials involved in the eviction were Vijay Kumar, Swamy (Revenue department), the GHMC commissioner, officials, staff and police personnel.
