Illegally stored crackers seized

Patancheru: Following a tip-off, the Vigilance and Enforcement officials, in cooperation with the Revenue and Police departments, on Saturday evening seized crackers worth Rs 35 lakh illegally stored at a house in Citizen Colony of Mallampet Srinivas Goud in the Patancheru industrial area by Padmanabh Mahesh of Kukatpally. The officials raided the house under the provisions of the Explosives Act and Fire Services Act and registered a case.

The crackers were brought from Guntakal. Among the officials present during the raid were CI Bal Reddy of the Vigilance and Enforcement department, DTO Mahender, local CI Naresh, SI Praveen Kumar Reddy, Revenue Officer Yadagiri.
