IMD forecasts heat waves for four days

Medak: The Met department on Tuesday warned of heat-wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Siddipet among 15 Telangana districts from May 15 to 18.

The department bulletin said on Tuesday isolated rain occurred in Telangana covering 25 per cent of the state area. the highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nizamabad. Medak registered 43 degrees Celsius as day temperature. Hakimpet had a high of 41deg C and Dundigal 40.

The other maximum temperatures recorded elsewhere in the State were: Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda & Ramagundam 43 each, Bhadrachalam 42, Hanamkonda, Hyderabad & Khammam 41 each. According to the forecast, dry weather is very likely to prevail across Telangana from May 15 to 18. No large change is likely during the period May 19-21.
