Implement green plan, officials were told by Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil

Kondamallepally (Nalgonda): District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil has instructed mandal officials and Gram Panchayat secretaries to carry out planting of saplings in nurseries as per green plan. On Saturday, he conducted a review meeting with officials of the Devarakonda division at Kondamallepally in the district.

In the meeting, mandal development officials, Gram Panchayat secretaries, APOs and mandal panchayat officials have participated. The Collector inquired with officials about the status of compost sheds, burial grounds, dumping yards and nurseries in villages of each mandal.

He directed the officials to take up nurturing of all kinds of saplings as per the needs of the villages and informed them to maintain register for recording the details through online.

The collector advised concerned officials to plant all types of saplings in nurseries in order to cater to the demands of households and farmers.

He asserted that Gram Panchayat secretary should take the responsibility of planting saplings till they survive and instructed them to plant 5 feet saplings in the place of withered plants, he directed and said divisional-level Panchayat officer has to inspect at regular intervals so that distribution of saplings by the end of June will be completed.

In the meeting, Additional Collector Rahul Sharma, DRDA PD Shekar Reddy, District Panchayat Officer Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Devarakonda Divisional Panchayat official Ramesh and other officials were present.
