In-charge Collector V Chandra Shekar calls for developing nurseries in all Nalgonda villages
Nalgonda: District In-charge Collector V Chandra Shekar directed the officials concerned to cater to the needs of villagers and put out efforts to develop the assets of gram panchayats in the district.
On Friday, he held a meeting with Tahsildars, Mandal Parishad Development Officers, Village Revenue Officers, Sarpanches, surveyors and village secretaries on district collectorate premises.
In this meeting, he reviewed the status and requirements with regard to dumping yards, burial grounds and purchase of tractors. He advised the officials concerned to identify lands for dumping garbage and also for burial grounds, and sort out the issues of disputed lands wherever necessary.
"The government is ready to give three times of enhanced funds to villages under Palle Pragathi programme," he asserted, directing the officials to speed up works taken up during the programme.
Stating that as many as 500 gram panchayats in the village came forward to purchase tractors, he informed that it was mandatory to establish nurseries in all villages. In this review meeting, district officials of all line departments participated.
