Khammam: Depressed by his recent defeat in the Assembly elections held in December last, Tummala addressing the voters during a campaign programme in Khammam expressed his displeasure over those who had voted against him.

"Not even dogs will show mercy on you," said Tummala Nageswara Rao addressing the people who voted against him in the recent Assembly elections.

During the campaign, Tummala made inappropriate comments against the voters of Paleru constituency. Furious about the failure he experienced in the Assembly elections, Tummala said that the people of Paleru constituency humiliated him with the defeat.

He added that the people of Khammam district voted the Congress while the voters across the State voted for the TRS. All of those votes have been now overturned and dumped in the sewer. He added that people who voted for the Congress were now grieving for their mistake.

He added that he promised 10 constituencies to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and was able to deliver only one and that he never felt so humiliated before in his life. He continued by saying that the people of Paleru had made a huge mistake in the recent Assembly elections and that they now have the opportunity to rectify the mistake by voting for Nama.

Tummala said, "I hoped to win in the recently-held Assembly polls and make Paleru as the number one constituency in the State. But you failed me."

Tummala made these comments at a public meeting held in Kusumanchi mandal as part of the TRS MP candidate Nama Nageswara Rao's campaign on Thursday night. As it was late in the night and the public meeting came to an end shortly thereafter, the incident came into light a bit late.
