India Posts services win public applause
Vikarabad: The Department of Posts (DoP) has launched India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) to provide services at the doorstep of account holders from September 2018.
The services are completely paperless and receiving wide appreciation from all sections.
One can get QR card after opening an account in two minutes after submitting Aadhaar details at respective post offices.
All transactions can be performed through a card.
The staff would pay the money at the doorstep for that the customer needs to call customer care number which is printed on the card.
People can avail of the services by downloading the app from smartphones.
One can open the savings account with zero balance. For the current account, the customer needs to maintain a minimum balance of Rs 1,000.
The bank runs under the control of DoP.
As many as 11,000 account holders are there in erstwhile Rangareddy district.
There are 189 post offices under Vikarabad and Tandur subdivision.
With the Q card customers and petty traders can perform cashless transactions.
Students with IPPB account can receive an amount at their doorstep.
Asara pensions and MNREGA wages will be deposited in Indian Posts Payments Banks and account holder need not visit the bank and they are paid money at the doorstep by just giving a missed call.
People can pay Sukanya Samruddi Yojana installments.
People can pay DTH bills, electricity bills, phone recharges, tap bills, gas bills, insurance premiums and others. They can deposit Rythu Bandhu and central government schemes incentives in the account.
