Install 3rd wire to streetlights to save power: Nizamabad Collector

Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao instructed the Transco officials to set up a third wire for the streetlight system in villages, so that the streetlights could be turned off during day, thus saving electricity.

As part of the 30-day action plan, the Collector inspected sanitation, plantation drive and other developmental activities at Muchkur village in Bheemgal mandal and Bheemgal mandal headquarters on Tuesday. He expressed displeasure with the officials and village secretary for the way they are carrying out works in villages.

The Collector directed MPDO to issue a show-cause notice to village secretary Narsaiah. Urging that people, democrats and officials should work together in order to keep villages clean, he asked the people to keep their villages clean without any garbage. He directed the staff to clean stagnated water to prevent spread of mosquito population and planted Tulasi and Krishna Tulasi saplings. He told the officials to take special measures to protect the plants.

MPDO Rajeshwar, Tahsildar Tara Singh, mandal special officer Rajeshwar, public representatives, officials and villagers were present during the inspection.
