Instil moral values in students: MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar asks teachers
Husnabad: Teachers must teach lessons along with personality development to the students in such a way that they must inculcate moral values along with protecting our tradition and culture, suggested Husnabad MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar.
Accompanied by MLC Raghotham Reddy, the MLA on Thursday attended as a chief guest at the get-together of old teachers and old students of Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir Schools situated in Husnabad mandal of Karimnagar district.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Satish Kumar said if students were taught personality development with selfish behaviour and business-oriented, that will harm the society when the students grow. So, it is the responsibility of every teacher to take care of their students like their own kids, he added.
If all the schools and colleges teach students moral values and culture along with studies, then only the students will think about the people living in their surroundings and will grow up as better citizens. It is not that important how many heavy books students are reading but it is more important whether the students are learning culture and discipline along with education, he pointed out.
Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal, ZP vice-chairman Rajireddy, Saraswathi Peetadhipathi representatives Lingam Sudhakar Reddy, MPP Lakavath Manasa, Eshwaraiah, Chitti Devendar Reddy, Gopal Reddy, Venkatesham and Satyanarayana Chary were present along with others.
