But, "a final decision will be taken only after the State government's nod. Regarding the intermediate first year classes, the TSBIE sources said that a decision on this would be taken only after the announcement of the SSC results expected to be announced in July.

The classes might commence from the first week of August. Meanwhile, proposals have been sent to the State government permission to conduct online classes for the students who are promoted into the second year of intermediate course.

Besides, the board is also chalking out how to go about commencing classes of the junior colleges which are purely residential in nature in the post-Covid situation.

Because there are no guidelines issued on this either from the Centre or the State governments, hence, the TSBIE is working out on an action plan which would be submitted to the State government.

Meanwhile, the TSBIE which has received a complaint against a corporate college and decided to take stringent action against the colleges conducting entrance examinations for admission into the intermediate courses.

Also, the board has received requests from two colleges for affiliation. But, the same has been rejected, since the two colleges were among those 68 colleges for which earlier the board has stripped its affiliation.
