Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday came down heavily against the police for misbehaving with a medical student and beating her mercilessly at Charminar.

He asked the police whether it was friendly police to pinch a female medical student besides misbehaving with her.

Speaking to media, he said the students were worried about the decision of the State government to shift the Ayurvedic hospital to Erragadda.
