Jagtial: Collector Dr. A Sharath appreciates electricity staff for good work
Jagtial: "Before the formation of separate Telangana State, the region used to suffer with lot of electricity-related problems. But after the formation of separate Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had first solved electricity problem in the State," stated District Collector Dr. A Sharath.
He participated in the Haritha Haram program organized under the leadership of Line Inspector Malla Reddy and planted a sapling in the premises of the electric sub-station in the Itkyal village of Raikal Mandal on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that Telangana is the only State, which supplies uninterrupted power for 24 hours for the farming sector. Other States are taking Telangana as a role model in this regard, he added. Appreciating the officials of electricity department are discharging their duties perfectly in the district, he said that they had solved all the problems related to electricity in various villages in just 30 days.
The Collector ordered the officials of several government departments to plant saplings in the premises of their offices and announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to the department, which will plant maximum number of saplings. He also assured that the cash prize will be given during Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
Rural Development Officer Narendar, SP of Electricity department Venu Madhav, Tahsildar Maheshwar, MPP Sandhya Rani and Sarpanch Lavanya were present along with others.
