Jagtial Collector G Ravi's twitter account hacked

Jagtial: Jagtial District Collector G Ravi faced embarrassing situation as his twitter account was hacked. The hacker posted an objectionable comment on one of the top actor Rashmika Mandanna.

Her recent film was blockbuster film 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'. The derogatory comments on Rashmika through the Collector's twitter account went viral and the netizens also reacted strongly against the official.

As the comments went viral, relatives of the Collector informed Ravi and he lodged a complaint with the police and instructed a thorough probe into it.

Jagtial Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Venkataramana was entrusted the responsibility of investigation. Meanwhile, police are questioning some suspected employees working in the Collectorate to crack the case at the earliest.

The Collector has been using the twitter account for official purpose but it was handled by an official in the district head office. This is not the only case.

In the recent past, many officials, including those from IAS and IPS who have social media accounts for official purpose had to face some embarrassing situations when their accounts were hacked.

The main reason for this easy hacking is because the officials have been using social media without taking necessary cyber security measures.
