Jammulamma Jatara begins in Gadwal

Gadwal: Marking the beginning of Jammulamma Jatara in Gadwal, local MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy gave a traditional Harati amidst the chants by priests on Wednesday. Later, a procession was taken out on a bullock cart from Gurramgadda to Jemmichedu in Gadwal.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the people of Gadwal were blessed by Jammulamma deity. It is believed that every year Jammulamma visits the village and blesses the people.

Marking this, the people of Gadwal celebrate the festival of Jammulamma Jatara, which goes on for nearly a month. "Every year, the people of Gadwal are blessed by Jammulamma. The deity showers her love and blesses the devotees with health, wealth, peace and prosperity," said the MLA.

Later, the MLA offered prayers at the temple. He said all the facilities such as drinking water, toilets and rest rooms were arranged. Devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and also from Maharashtra are likely to visit the temple. To facilitate the devotees, the district administration of Gadwal has made all necessary arrangements.
