Jeevan Reddy demands removal of belt shops in villages
Karimnagar: MLC T Jeevan Reddy said that if the belt shops are removed in the State, govt revenue will decrease by Rs 40, 000 crore, but the villagers will be economically strengthened.
Speaking at a press conference held at Karimnagar R&B Guest House on Thursday, he said that the previous government made the Excise department a source of government revenue, and because of this many people were addicted to alcohol in the state and were ruining their lives.
The MLC explained that he has written a letter to the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to remove the belt shops immediately.
The people were fed up with the BRS’ dictatorial regime and gave power to the Congress, and after the election of the Chief Minister, they gave high priority to health and education.
Jeevan Reddy said that women across the state are happy because of the free bus travel, as it gives financial relief to them.
It is commendable that the government has taken a decision to increase Aarogyasri coverage to Rs.10 lakh.
He said that the Congress government has implemented two guarantees and won popular support the moment it assumed.
