Jilted lover tries to burn down lover's husband, lands in jail

Alert family members foiled an attempt by a jilted lover to set the house of his ex's husband. The incident occurred in Mancherial of Telangana. M Ravi, who fell in love with a girl, became vengeful. Since then he tried to attack the woman and her husband. Husband, identified as G Avinash had even lodged a complaint with the police, who counselled Ravi several times. Yet, Ravi did not mend his ways.

On knowing that his former lover has just delivered a baby and was in the hospital, Ravi and three of his friends brought 10 litres of petrol and poured it through the pipelines of the home. However, the family members were jolted out of their sleep due to the pungent smell of petrol and ran out of the house.

They immediately raised an alarm even as Ravi and his friends fled. Based on a complaint, the police arrested them. A case has been booked against them.
