Justice Hima Kohli to take charge as CJ of Telangana high court on Jan 7

Justice Hima Kohli will take charge as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court on January 7. State governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will administer the oath at Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, ministers, high court judges and other officials will attend the ceremony.

Arrangements are underway for the oath taking ceremony of Justice Hima Kohli.

Hima Kohli who has served as a judge of Delhi High Court has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court. She is the first woman Chief Justice of the high court of the Telugu state.

She studied law at the campus law centre of Delhi University and enrolled in the bar council in 1984. She was appointed as additional judge of Delhi HC on May 29 in 2006 and became a permanent judge on August 29 in 2007.

From May 20, 2020 - She is serving as Delhi State Legal Services Authority executive chairman and from June 30 as a member of National Law University Governing Council.
