Juvenile among three held for phone snatching, house-burglaries
Hyderabad: Bowenpally police arrested three persons including one juvenile on Friday in connection to the complaint registered last week by T V V S Narayan (25) of his stolen phone.
Police also recovered 50 phones and 5 kg gold from the three pick-pocketers on Friday. The accused are identified as M Vishal, Mohammed Nusrat Pasha and a boy juvenile.
In a complaint lodged by Narayana on September 5, he said he lost his phone while he travelled by train from West Godavari to Secunderabad railway station and boarded an RTC later. When he reached Bowenpally bus stop he found his phone missing.
Bowenpally police swung into action and nabbed the three accused.
Police said the three accused have been committing thefts of mobile phones in RTC buses and have sold at least 49 of them to various shops at Hong Kong Bazar, Subhashnagar and Secunderabad.
Police further said, Vishal and juvenile boy also indulged in the house burglaries when the inmates are away.
The boy juvenile was sent to juvenile home in 2017 on the charges of committing burglaries in two houses.
After he was released from juvenile home, he again committed two house burglaries.
Police recovered the gold worth approximately Rs 1.5 lakh from him.
