Kacheguda: Train mishap spooks citizens

A tragic incident took place on Monday morning when a Falaknuma-bound MMTS train had a head on collision with Secunderabad-bound Hundry Express near Kacheguda railway station.

Twelve persons were injured in the mishap. It is said that several passengers in the MMTS train hit their heads and knees with the opposite seats resulting in bleeding.

Consequently, there was chaos among the passengers and railway station officials at the platform. Officials of various departments swung into action and initiated rescue operations.

As a result of this accident a lot of trains have been cancelled, partially cancelled or diverted through other routes according to South Central Railway (SCR).

To sum up, the incident rattled the denizens across the length and breadth of the city, who heaved a sigh of relief on learning that a major mishap had been averted.
