Warangal: Former Deputy Chief Minister and TRS MLC Kadiam Srihari denied reports in a section of media that he was contemplating to join BJP.

Talking to The Hans India over phone, Srihari said that he was a dalit leader and had come from grass root level. He said he had been in Telugu Desam for several years as a loyal worker and had served the united Andhra Pradesh as Irrigation Minister and handled other portfolios. After bifurcation, when he joined TRS, he was not only made the deputy chief minister but was also given the Education portfolio.

He said he was an ardent follower of Ambedkar and was always against religion based politics and parties like BJP and hence there was no question of his looking towards the saffron party. He said in fact there was no reason for him even to think on those lines. "I have enjoyed best of portfolios and got due respect where ever I was. Unfortunately some kind of negative propaganda was going on in social media and I condemn it," he said.
