Kamareddy: ACB nabs APO for taking bribe

Kamareddy: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday caught Machareddy mandal NREGA Assistant Programme Officer (APO) Rajender redhanded while taking bribe.

Narsareddy, a farmer of Bhavanipet village in the mandal, dug soak pits and water pits in his fields under National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and asked the APO to release the bills of the said works. The APO demanded the farmer to pay a bribe of Rs 10,000. Narsareddy contacted the ACB sleuths, who hatched a plan and caught the officer red-handed.
