Kamareddy: Childless woman commits suicide

Kamareddy: Upset over not having a child, a 21-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her house in Birkur village on Monday night.

According to Sub-Inspector Satish Varma, Karuna of Atkali village, Biloli taluka, Maharashtra State, was married to Nikhil of Birkur village two years ago and was worried for not having children even after two years.

Unable to cope up of being childless and the severe stomach pain she has been suffering, Karuna hanged herself at her house on Monday night, when none was at the house.

Police shifted the body to Banswada Hospital for postmortem. A case was registered following a complaint by Rukminibai, mother of the deceased, the SI informed.
