Kamareddy: coronavirus fear shuts shops

Closed grocery stores in Kamareddy on Monday

Kamareddy: Fearing the continuous increase of coronavirus cases in Kamareddy city, traders and private offices have voluntarily closed their establishments on Monday. People also confined to their homes, which made Kamareddy look like a desert without public and vehicles.

Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan was tested positive. A few traders at Kamareddy district headquarters also were confirmed as corona positive. These traders had contacted many people over business and other reasons. There is uncertainty as to how many people were contacted the infected.

Traders were afraid to run their business while customers also hesitating to purchase anything from the shops. Hence, it was decided to close all grocery stores in the district headquarters from Monday.

Meanwhile, doctors collected blood samples of the family members of corona positives and primary contacts are being investigated.
